It’s Really Academic

PIC-0046(2)

Jerod is a member of the West Jessamine Middle School Academic team. He competes with the quick recall team and participates in the testing competition for Language Arts and Social Studies. Their most recent competition was a regional Sixth Grade Showcase. WJMC finished first in the quick recall competition and won first place overall. Jerod finished first in Language Arts and second in Social Studies testing.

I learned today that the WJMC academic team also competed in the Knowledge Master Open.

The KNOWLEDGE MASTER OPEN

A challenging, low-cost academic competition in which teams of students compete — nationally and internationally — without leaving their own schools. The KMO began in 1983 with 72 schools; it now annually attracts over 3,000 schools and 45,000 participants from the U.S. and several foreign lands.

WJMS finished FIRST in Kentucky and 31st out of  577 overall. Great job. Congratulations.

Graduation Day

CU

Today is a major life’s milestone for grandson Chase, our oldest son Carter’s oldest son. He is receiving his degree from Campbellsville University in Criminal Justice. He will be returning to Franklin, TN and is looking to find employment as police officer.

It is special for us also. Chase is our first grandchild to graduate from college.

Great work and congratulation Chase! We are proud of you.
