First Day of Winter

It seems as if nature wants to remind us that it is the first day of winter. 7° this morning. I really think the reminder is unnecessary. I will say that we have been adequately prepared for this introduction with the miserable cold for the past weeks. It is almost enough to convince me to depart for Florida sooner than the end of January.

I am looking forward to this Christmas week. There will be opportunities to be with family and friends. Santa has been working long hours in his cold and drafty workshop and presents are ready.
