Yesterday we went “deep sea” fishing on the Placida Queen. Actually it is better described as bottom fishing in the gulf. It was a great day but the fish were scarce. Ann and I caught 5 or 6 between us. No keepers. Bob and Carla and Ron and Jean were with us. It was a long day but enjoyable. Next time I will schedule a trip when the fish are biting.
Ann and I visited with Ron and Jean Like yesterday afternoon in Venice. Ron and I went fishing at the jetty in Venice. Ann and Jean enjoyed the beach and pool. Later they walked to the jetty and visited with us while we fished. I caught a lot small fish. Ron had the catch of the day with sheepshead shown above. He also caught the strange looking fish. There were lots of them eating our bait. I’ve not been able to identify it as of yet.
We are going gulf fishing Wednesday. We’ll be bottom fishing on a party boat. Looks like the weather is going to be really nice.
